West Bloomfield Summer Recreation Program

July 10, the Town of West Bloomfield’s Summer Recreation program will begin at Prouty Park!  Monday – Friday from 9 am until 12 pm through August 11.    Our purpose is to provide a fun environment for your child(ren) to develop socially, physically, and creatively.  Exploring through our organized games, crafts, sports, and large and small group activities, the staff fosters traits such as teamwork, cooperation, and sportsmanship.  The following is our simple expectations for the children:

Behavior Policy
Every child has the right to feel safe and comfortable at summer recreation.  To that end, we, the staff, will reinforce and provide positive feedback for appropriate behavior.  Inappropriate behavior will be dealt with on a situational basis.  Parents will be made aware of repeat offenses.  Serious behavior indiscretions may result in the child’s temporary “suspension” from the program.  

Our Rec Rules
    1.      Respect others.  Be kind in what you say and do.
    2.      Use the rec and playground equipment respectfully and safely.
    3.      Have fun!

Snack
We will have a snack break daily.  You may sign up to bring in a special snack to share. 

Sign In/Out
An adult will need to sign their child(ren) in each morning as well as sign out at the end of the day. 

Late Pick-Ups
Our program ends at 12 pm each day unless otherwise specified.  Please be considerate and recognize that many of our staff have other jobs and family commitments.
